Next week marks the start of the Rencontres de la Photographie, a renowned festival which enlivens the city every year from the beginning of July. It is a moment when Arles transforms into a true international crossroads of photography, attracting artists and enthusiasts from all over the world. The exhibitions are held in various historic locations, offering a perfect symbiosis between art and heritage. Not to be missed this year, the presentation for the first time in Arles of “The Starry Night”, a famous painting by the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh.

The Avignon International Theater Festival Every summer,

under the sun, the city is transformed into a gigantic live performance stage. In the street or in the theaters, art is everywhere! The city center of Avignon (inside the ramparts) offers a large number of theaters in which OFF shows are programmed (mostly creations). The IN festival shows take place in intra- and extra-mural performance venues. The types of shows offered are very varied: humor, young audiences, all audiences,…The IN will take place from Saturday June 29 to Sunday July 21, 2024 The OFF will take place from Wednesday July 3 to Sunday July 21, 2024
